Whenever I go to my doctor to ask for a regular check up, I have to beg. This spans three doctors and at least a decade.  Every time they ask what is wrong (“nothing”) and say that I’m too young to have anything to worry about.
I wonder how much of this is because of the male stereotype and how much is from the system/insurance.
