I’m about an hour and a half away from home, but we were too hungry and the snacks weren’t doing it.
I’m going to go ahead and write my recap now. This was a crazy little two day trip with my mom up and down the California coast.
I was pretty disappointed with Monterey the city. It’s a beautiful town but, like so many things, over-commercialized. It seems like every strip of land has become the same stretch of eateries and hotels.
The aquarium, however, was awesome. If you like aquariums, it really is one of the best. The behind the scenes tour was really interesting, even if it was mainly just a series of pipes.
Today would have been my parents anniversary. My dad passed away several years ago, but it’s still good to get my mom out of town on this day when I can.
